Every guest gets a real answer — on any channel, in any language, at any hour.
Distinct Intelligence is an AI concierge for independent and boutique properties. It meets your guests on WhatsApp, SMS and your own website — and your team decides what it knows, what it says, and when it hands off to a person.
Guest asks in French. Concierge answers in French — automatically.
02 · The Problem
Guest questions don't keep front desk hours.
A guest lands at midnight and needs to know where to park. Another asks about breakfast in Portuguese, and no one on the night shift speaks it. A third is deciding between you and the property down the road, and just wants to know whether the pool is heated — right now, before they book.
A larger property answers these with more staff. Most independent properties cannot, so the questions go to voicemail, to a printed binder that went out of date last season, or to nobody at all.
03 · What It Does
What it does
WhatsApp & SMS
Guests message you the way they message everyone else.
On your website
A concierge on every page, without rebuilding the site.
Every language
Guests write in theirs. They get answered in theirs.
Your knowledge
You change what it knows, in minutes, yourself.
Beyond answers
Directions, local recommendations and bookings, inside the conversation.
Conversations
Guests message you the way they message everyone else.
Your guests already have WhatsApp and SMS open. They do not want another app, another login, or a phone tree. So the concierge meets them where they already are — a guest sends a message and gets a useful answer back, in seconds, at any hour.
Conversations pick up where they left off. The question someone asked a week before arrival and the one they ask from the room on the second night belong to the same thread, and your team can see all of it.
Nothing for the guest to install. No app, no account, no QR code hunt.
One continuous thread. Before arrival, during the stay, after checkout.
Your team can step in at any point. Every conversation is visible, and a person can take over mid-thread.
In the demo: we ask the same question over WhatsApp and over SMS, and answer both in seconds — with the full thread visible in your admin view.
On your website
Add it to your website without rebuilding your website.
The concierge sits on your existing site, on whichever pages you choose, and looks like it belongs there. Your site does not change. Nothing gets rebuilt, redesigned, or migrated.
That matters most on the pages where someone is still deciding. A visitor comparing you against two other properties has a question about the room, the parking, the dog policy — and the difference between an answer now and a contact form is often the difference between a booking and a bounce.
It looks like your site. Your colours, your tone, your placement.
You choose where it appears. Every page, or only the ones that matter — rooms, rates, directions, FAQ.
It answers before the booking, not just after. The questions that decide a reservation get answered while the guest is still on the page.
In the demo: the same guest question, asked through the website widget and answered identically to WhatsApp — one concierge, not three separate systems to maintain.
Every language
Your guests write in their language. They get answered in it.
There is no language selector for a guest to find and no setting for your staff to configure. A guest writes in Portuguese and is answered in Portuguese. The next guest writes in German, in the same channel, a minute later, and is answered in German.
The part that matters for you is quieter: you maintain one set of information about your property. You write your parking instructions once, in your own language, and every guest reads them in theirs. Nothing is duplicated, and nothing goes stale in one language while it is current in another.
No setup, per language or otherwise. It works from the first conversation.
One source of information, not one per language. You update it once.
Guests never have to choose. They just write, and it responds in kind.
In the demo: we ask a question in English, then ask it again in another language, live — same accurate answer, no configuration in between.
Your knowledge, your control
You teach it. Not us.
Most systems like this are taught by the vendor. You send in your information, someone loads it, and when something changes you send in a request and wait. Meanwhile the pool is closed for maintenance and the concierge is still telling guests it opens at seven.
This one is yours to teach. Your staff add what it should know and correct what it got wrong, directly, and the next guest gets the updated answer. No support ticket, no developer, no waiting in a queue behind someone else's request.
You also decide what it will not do. Which subjects it stays away from, how it sounds, and when it stops and hands the conversation to a person — all set by you, and changed by you whenever you want.
“The pool closed early for maintenance. You should be able to tell your concierge that in the time it takes to walk back to the desk.”
Update it the moment something changes. The restaurant closes Tuesdays now. Tell it once.
Fix a wrong answer yourself. Immediately, without asking anyone's permission.
Set what it won't discuss. It declines gracefully instead of guessing.
Decide when a person takes over. You set the handoff triggers.
Control who on your team can change what. Roles and permissions are yours to assign.
In the demo: we ask it something it cannot answer, add the missing information on the spot, and ask again — correct answer, same conversation, nobody leaves the room.
Beyond answers
It doesn't just answer questions. It gets things done.
Answering a question is useful. Finishing the task is better. A guest asking where to eat does not want a list of restaurants — they want a table. A guest asking about the spa wants an appointment, not opening hours.
So the concierge does the next step in the same conversation, without sending anyone to a different app, a different page, or the front desk.
Real local answers, not a laminated card.
Where is the nearest pharmacy that is open now. How long to the airport at this hour. What is walkable from the lobby in the rain. The concierge answers from current local information, so guests get directions that are right today rather than whatever was true when the binder was printed.
Booked in the conversation, not after it.
A guest asking about the spa can book the spa. Dinner, an activity, a table — arranged inside the same thread, in whatever language they are writing in, at whatever hour they happen to ask.
Every one of those is a question that used to end in “I'll ask at the desk tomorrow” and now ends in a reservation.
In the demo: a guest asks what's nearby, gets directions, then books a table — one conversation, start to finish.

05 · FAQ
Questions operators ask first.
What if it doesn't know the answer?
It says so, and hands the conversation to your team. It is built to decline rather than guess, and you set the point at which it stops and brings in a person. If it is missing something it should have known, your staff can add it in minutes — and it will know it for the next guest.
Do we need someone technical to run it?
No. It is built for a team that does not have an IT department. The people who update your knowledge base and adjust what the concierge can discuss are the same people who run your front desk — no developer, and no support ticket to us.
See it answer your guests' questions.
Bring us the three questions your front desk answers most often, and the one nobody can ever answer at 2 a.m. We'll show you what happens.
